ASUS and AWS Joined Hands to Organize the "ESG & Corporate Sustainability Forum" in an Effort to Explore Digital Sustainability Action Plans

ASUS takes seriously the concept of becoming a world-class green high-tech leader and providing valuable contributions to humanity, and actively creates positive influences by driving internal innovation and joining forces with value chain partners. ASUS and Amazon Web Services (AWS) today held the ESG Enterprise Sustainability Forum, which invites AWS ecosystem partners—including Sustaihub, eKoPro Solutions Inc., and Far EasTone (FET)—to focus on digital driving, industrial security and energy management to explore the possibilities of various sustainability-related action plans. In the future, ASUS will continue to invite partners who are dedicated to green technology to create shared value for a sustainable environment.

Robert Wang, General Manager of AWS Hong Kong and Taiwan Region, said "Amazon has been using renewable energy for operation and providing green power to related businesses since 2005, and aims to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040. In addition, The company has also set a target of 100% renewable energy use by 2025 as the largest corporate renewable energy procurement.
The ESG Corporate Sustainability Forum hosted by ASUS and AWS aims to develop diverse possibilities with partners in the sustainability field.

Hence, the ESG Enterprise Sustainability Forum held together with AWS to make a straight path to sustainable management."


In order to demonstrate its determination to mitigate global climate change, ASUS put forward its strategy of data-based measurement, technology-based management, and building sustainable corporate value with core competitiveness in 2020. It launched an all-aspect sustainable action plan at the supply chain and product level, with specific actions, including reducing carbon emissions by 50% in global operations by 2030; using 100% renewable energy in Taiwan operations by 2030 and globally by 2035; reducing 30% of annual emission intensity from key suppliers by 2025; and ensuring that the average energy efficiency of major products is 30% higher than Energy Star levels by 2025.
